I'm 35 and skate with my son who's 9.  I skated alot in the 80's and a little more a couple of years ago.  My son is giving me a chance to skate again and I take him to the skate parks alot. I seen the Tony Hawk Trick Tips Vol. 3 and you were talking about when you learned the backside air and how sketchy it was to take it from the little hop at the coping to a real air.  I'm at that point.  I'm only landing the small ones (just over the top) and maybe 1 foot airs every 20 tries.  I was just wondering how long it took you to get it?  I feel like I spend more time climbing back up than skating. The ramp is a 9.5 foot tall ramp, with the same transition. (no vert) Would it be easier to learn on a ramp with vert or am I just making excuses? It's like my own ramp, nobody skates the ramps around here.
